Who we are
CABOZ Action CH is a Swiss non-profit association founded in 2012. All our projects are developed, implemented and followed up locally by our Ivorian partner association CABOZ Action Côte d’Ivoire.
Our purpose
Mission : To help improve the living conditions of the village communities of the Ivorian cocoa-producers through funding and implementing projects with a focus on health, access to drinking water, education, empowerment of women and local communities, and rural income-generating activities.
Vision : The Ivorian cocoa-producers and their families can live in dignity and feel empowered to take the development of their local communities into their own hands. We support them in this using a ‘hybrid’ approach: working with the social entreprise, CABOZ {link}, in making the local cocoa trade more sustainable, and implementing social projects with our local project manager.
Our local partners
CABOZ Action Côte d’Ivoire : our Ivorian partner association was founded in 2014 in Côte d’Ivoire to make it easier to manage our projects locally and to get local members involved. We have two full-time employees locally, Lydie Kla und Fulbert Brou, who implement our projects under the supervision of Déde Beugre (see bottom of page).
CABOZ : we work mainly in the regions where the company CABOZ buys its cocoa and can thus benefit from the synergies between its commercial activities and our social projects. CABOZ provides office and logistic support, and helps in finding local contacts through its employees, many of whom live in the villages.
Important : The association CABOZ Action is a separate legal entity from the company CABOZ and independent in its decision-making. Currently CABOZ is not in a position to fund our projects directly.
